The Archivio Stereoscopico Italiano is a private institution whose aim is not merely collecting. The Archive, starting from the gathering together and conservation of three-dimensional historical photographic and cinematographic material, aims at promoting interest in stereoscopy, together with study of its historical, technical, practical and theoretical aspects, and experimentation of its modern applications.
